Port Angeles Parks & Recreation’s Red Lion Presidents’ Day Classic youth basketball tournament, Feb. 18-19

Three Sequim teams earned berths in championship games and Sequim’s boys fourth-graders came home with a title at the Port Angeles Parks &Recreation’s Red Lion Presidents Day Classic youth basketball tournament, held Feb. 18-19.

Sequim’s girls sixth-grade and boys fifth-grade teams each took second place in their divisions.

The tourney featured 60 teams in nine divisions.

Girls eighth grade division — 1. Bellingham Basketball Academy, 2. White River Sting, 3. Sequim Lady Wolves, 4. Bainbridge Roots, 5. Olympic Avalanche White, 6. Meadowdale Lady Mavs, 7. Chimacum Cowgirls. Championship: Bellingham Basketball Academy 33, White River Sting 31.

Boys fourth-grade division — 1. Sequim, 2. Forks Thunder, 3. Bainbridge Roots, 3. White River Sting, 5. Port Angeles Green, 6. Port Angeles White. Championship: Sequim 33, Forks Thunder 30.
