This is a good thing to practice with our upcoming cold winter upon us.
This is a diagram of Ben Hogan’s swing without the hands, arms and club. You can see how small the golf swing really is when the hands, arms and club are not part of your visualization.
It is not necessary to have a picture of the hands, arms and club in your mind or try to do anything with them during the swing. It will be more helpful to be able to recognize what the body or inside must do in the swing.
Recognize how small the golf swing is. The hands, arms and club (outside) are moved (as a unit) a great distance by the body (inside) that has moved only inches while creating centrifugal force.
Please cut out (and enlarge, if necessary) this diagram and place on or next to a mirror. Then cross your arms and place your hands on your shoulders. Do each frame and hold and check if your body is the same. Then after a time try to do the whole movement.
The frame in the middle row, far left, is the most important move. This is the greatest swing in golf ever. Why do I say that? Because Hogan hit the ball better than any player ever.
Rules teaser:
In the rain a player holds an umbrella in one hand and his putter in the other hand and holes the putt.
Ruling?
Answer to last teaser:
In stroke play, a player lifts a competitor’s ball and by mistake replaces it with another ball. The competitor played that ball and completed the hole. Ruling? No penalty
