Storm King soccer remains unbeaten

The Storm King Lightning Boys U-11 soccer team improved to 3-0 in North Puget Sound League play with an 8-2 win against Bellevue 8-2 at home on Sept. 21.

Providing offense from the back line was center defender Brandon Wagner, who scored three goals — the third hat trick by a Lightning player in as many games.

Matt Mangano scored two goals and Ethan Knight and Israel Gonzalez each had a goal and an assist. Harrison Bell added a goal and Trenton Indelicato had an assist to round out the scoring.

Goalkeeper Tyler Lawson led the defense as the Lightning is tied for the league lead with only four goals against.

“It was their most complete team victory yet,” coach Erik Gonzalez said.

The Lightning play next at 1 p.m., Sept. 27, at their home, the Albert Haller Playfields.

Brinnon man gets an ace at The Cedars

Tom Nunamacher of Brinnon sank his first lifetime hole-in-one at The Cedars at Dungeness golf course on Sept. 22.

Nunamacher used a 6-iron to drive and ace the 150-yard hole No. 17.

Will Rowe of Sequim witnessed the feat.
