Wolfpups hosts

‘Toy Bowl’

The Sequim Wolfpups youth football organization hosts its annual "Toy Bowl," starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Sequim High School football field, 601 N. Sequim Ave.

Admission to the event is one unwrapped or slightly used toy for donation to a local toy bank for the holiday season; Wolfpup officials also will accept money donations.

Past recipients have been the Salvation Army, Foster Parenting and, last year, the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots. This year’s recipient will be the Salvation Army of Port Angeles.

Toys are donated in honor of former Wolfpups who have died. In recent years, those have included Kaydee Campbell and Jeff Campbell.

The Wolfpups play two games, one at 5:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. Like last year, the ‘Pups play against a pair of squads from Enumclaw.

In Wolfpup playoff action Saturday, the Wolfpups’ JV team won 26-20 in overtime while the Prep Squad fell 13-7.
