Hastings reap medals at pickleball tourney
Sequim’s own Hastings family racked up a trio of top finishes at a pickleball tournament in Coeur d’Alene in mid-August.
Kendall Hastings teamed with Julie Miller to earn a gold medal in the 4.5 Women’s Doubles division — including a win over sister McKenna and mom Allison, who placed second for a silver medal.
Doug Hastings earned a bronze medal after placing third in the 5.0 Men’s Singles Division.
“It is an awesome feeling to be able to play a sport with and against family members,” Allison Hastings said, “except when Kendall rips a forehand at you!”
