SkyRidge hosts scramble

SkyRidge Golf Course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway, hosts a Summer Three-Person Scramble on Saturday, Sept. 9. The tourney begins with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. Cost is $90 per team; fee pays for golfing, gross and net prizes, team KPs and team long putt competitions and lunch after play. Honey pots are an extra $20 per player. Big Hurt registration open

Racers who want to receive a T-shirt from this year’s Big Hurt competition must sign up by Aug. 31. Registration will remain open after that date and participants can register until Sept. 22. Race and registration information can be found at bighurtpa.com.

Organizers of Big Hurt, a multi sport-race that includes mountain and road biking, kayaking and running, also are looking for volunteers to help at West End Park. Email olympicadventuretrail@gmail.com if you are interested in volunteering for the event. Volunteers who sign up by Aug. 31 get a Big Hurt T-shirt.

Spooktacular run set

The Spooktacular 5k run/walk will be held at Bandy Farms/Troll Haven at 11 a.m. Oct. 14. Costumes are encouraged.

Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for those 12 and younger. Register at regtorace.com or on race day starting at 9 a.m.
