SkyRidge Tourney set

SkyRidge Golf Course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway, hosts the Pre-Christmas 18-Hole Golf Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 16. The tourney begins with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start, barring frost. Cost is $60 per team; fee includes golf, range balls and food. Optional honey pots are $30 per team and power carts are $15 per seat. Slots for 28 two-person teams are available. MacDonald gets ace

Cam MacDonald of Sequim sank his first hole-in-one last week, acing hole No. 4 at The Cedars at Dungeness on Dec. 6. MacDonald use a pitching wedge to drive the 120-yard hole.

Fly fishers

The next meeting of the Sequim Greywolf Fly Fishers is from 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road. Following a brief business meeting are fishing reports and comments on favorite flies that successfully catch fish. Members will elect 2018 leaders and discuss dues and meeting location. The group hosts individual fly tying; tie a fly of your choice (bring fly tying equipment and materials) or observe this month’s tying event.
