Hoops tourney on tap

The Port Angeles Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the Martin Luther King youth basketball tournament, presented by Captain T’s Custom Stuff, on Jan. 18 and 19.

There are divisions for boys’ and girls’ basketball teams in grades 4-8.

There is a four-game guarantee and a $250 entry fee.

Register for Little League

Registration for the 2020 season of Sequim Little League is open at www.sequimlittleleague.com.

New to the league this year is an intermediate team for boys of ages 12 and 13.

In-person registration and player assessment of boys and girls ages 9 and older are set for Saturday, Jan. 11, and Sunday, Feb. 2; times and locations will be announced soon.

Opening Day for the league is set for Saturday, March 21, which includes a ceremony, games and other family activities.
