Anglers to talk fly fishing

Members of the Puget Sound Anglers’ North Olympic Peninsula Chapter host a general meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road. People gather at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m.

The guest speaker is Don Wilcox, vice president of the Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishers, who will give an overview of their activities including their work with Project Healing Waters that helps active duty and retired wounded warriors, fly tying classes, conservation efforts and gear selection for fishing the waters around the North Olympic Peninsula.

The chapter will also have a short business meeting, fishing reports, and raffle drawings following Wilcox’s talk. Raffles are for members only. Attendees can join that night to participate in the raffle. An annual individual membership is $25 and a family membership is $35. The membership also includes The Reel News monthly newspaper.

Trails coalition, local bikes shops offer tune-up fundraiser
