Multiple aces on the golf course, sign ups for coed soccer

Double aces

Charles Raab of Port Angeles sank his second hole in one in 15 days with an ace at The Cedars at Dungeness on Aug. 4.

Raab used a 9-iron to drive the 139-yard hole No. 11 at The Cedars. On July 20, Raab used an 8-iron to ace the 133-yard hole No. 17 at the same course.

Evans gets ace No. 3

Sherry Evans scored her third lifetime hole-in-one, achieving the feat on Aug. 8 at The Cedars at Dungeness.

Evans used a 6-hybrid club to ace hole No. 17.

Sign up for coed soccer

The Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department and Peninsula College host an adult coed soccer league this fall.

The season begins Sept. 7 with games at the college’s Wally Sigmar Field, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. The league is open to men and women ages 18 and up. Cost is $55 per player. Deadline for registering is Aug. 29.
