Ellefson helps Riders take second

Sequim High swimmer Colby Ellefson helped the Port Angeles boys swim team take second place at the 11-team Swimvitational meet in Bremerton earlier this month

Port Angeles finished with 260 points. Gig Harbor, a 3A school, was first with 390.

In the freestyle, Ellefson swam a personal best by more than four seconds, grabbing fifth in a close race against an opponent from Gig Harbor. Ellefson then picked up third in the 500 freestyle, swimming his fastest time of the season.

He also helped the 400 free relay team place third.

Ellefson competes with the Roughriders during the regular season before representing Sequim High in postseason meets.
