Sunshine fest’s color run set for Saturday

With 1k and 5k options, the Sequim Sunshine Festival’s Sun Fun Color Run is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, at Carrie Blake Community Park, 202 N. Blake Ave.

Entry fees are $40 for the 5k and $25 for the 1k. Fee pays for a medal, bib, other swag and color zones (five for the 5K, three for the 1K).

The festival will take place on Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4, with a series of family-friendly activities designed to celebrate the near end of winter and the coming of the spring and summer seasons. Other festival events include a drone show (7 p.m. Saturday), vendor/nonprofit booths/activities and live music (various times) at Carrie Blake Community Park, and the Interactive Light Experience, set at in the clubhouse at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St., from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 3, and noon-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 4.
