Jonelle Staveland is the fourth player from the NWAC-champion Peninsula College Pirates to sign a letter intent, signing her letter to play at Evergreen State College next season.

“Jonelle was an outstanding player for us for two years,” P.C. head coach Ali Crumb said. “She was a great student, an incredible team player and a person with great character and integrity. She is our most improved player and that shows the type of work ethic that she has. Her role in the NWAC tournament was an integral part of our success and she was a key impact player off the bench. She is going to be a great addition to Evergreen State College and I can’t wait to see the growth that she is going to have there.”

Staveland, a 5 foot 8 inch guard/forward from Juneau, Alaska, joins P.C. teammate Gabi Fenumiai at Evergreen.

Fenumiai, the Pirates’ leading rebounder in 2014-2015, signed on with the school earlier this year.

Other Pirates set to play at different schools include leading scorer Madison Pilster (College of Idaho) and Miranda Schmillen (Multnomah University).
