Demonstration garden tour highlights roses

Monthly Woodcock Demonstration Garden Walk

The public is invited to take a guided tour of the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road, with a veteran Master Gardener on Thursday, June 28, starting at 10 a.m.

The June 28 walk focuses on the rose garden where the plants are in bloom and thinning in the orchard. Learn about the naturally occurring June fruit drop and why you want to thin your fruit.

Master Gardeners tend the gardens on Thursday mornings and will be available to answer questions on their respective areas. The 2.74-acre Woodcock Demonstration Garden has garden displays demonstrating sustainable gardening techniques that cover a broad range of ornamentals, edible and native plants as well as composting and garden design. It is open to the public for free daily.
