Sleuths are book discussion topic

“The Skeleton Crew: How Amateur Sleuths are Solving America’s Coldest Cases” by Deborah Halber will be discussed at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Copies of “The Skeleton Crew” are available in various formats, including regular print and downloadable e-book; they can be requested online by visiting the library catalog at www.nols.org.

‘Books &Libations’ set

This December, learn about great new books while sipping hand-crafted coffee as the North Olympic Library System teams up with The Blackbird Coffeehouse to offer the latest installment of “Books &Libations.” This free, fun program for adults will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Toot Sweet performs at OTA on First Friday

Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., welcomes back on First Friday the clarinet quartet Toot Sweet who will perform from 6-7 p.m. Dec. 2. The group will be decked out in Victorian attire and will pay tribute to the holidays with seasonal and Christmas music. OTA will open its doors at 5 p.m. with beverage and snack bar available.

Chorale plans winter concerts

The NorthWest Women’s Chorale will present its winter concert “Good People, All” at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 925 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, and at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez Ave., Port Angeles. The suggested donation is $15. The concert will include music from all over the Earth showing the chorale’s tradition of singing the nontraditional.
