Men with Guitars groups return to Sequim stage

The ever-popular Men with Guitars concert is back in 2019, helping support the Mujeres de Maiz Opportunity Foundation, at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave.

Enjoy music from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s as performed by Steve Anderson and BBR — Bill Tiderman, Barry Burnett and Rudy Maxion.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are a suggested $15 donation; no advance tickets are available.

A Sequim resident, Anderson has been playing house concerts and open mic events as well as playing with Dawn Martin and The Old Sidekicks.

Under the BBR moniker, Burnett, Tiderman and Maxion bring classic rock songs to the Sequim stage. Playing in the area together off and on for more than a dozen years, each is involved in other projects but get together from time to time for special events. Burnett has a duo act called Barry and Rachael, Tiderman plays with the Far Corners Band near Spokane, and Maxion plays with Black Diamond Junction.

They perform the popular songs they grew up with from mostly the 1960s and 1970s, with a few older and newer tunes scattered in.

All proceeds go to educational programs and projects of Mujeres de Maiz Opportunity Foundation, a Sequim based 501(c)(3) providing access to education to women and children in Chiapas, Mexico.
