Aglow meets

Sequim Aglow meets 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, March 4, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., Sequim. Almie Sparling speaks about "True Friendship." A buffet brunch features finger foods.

Shamanism studies

Metaphysician and facilitator Kristine Walsh presents "Introduction to Shamanic Journey – History and Practice" 2-4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at The Center of Infinite Reflections, 144 Tripp Road, Sequim.

Walsh, who is part Native American/Canadian, teaches about the history and contemporary uses of native shamanism, how to "journey" and identify one’s power animal.

The cost is $60, which includes two additional classes for journey practice.

Lenten services

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave.,

Sequim, offers noon prayers, a service of about 15-20 minutes, in the chapel on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, through March 26.

The Lenten soup supper series will be on "Habits of the Heart: A Life of Prayer," at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 24-March 24. Discussion and prayers in the church follow.

The focus will be on meditation and contemplation,

Taizé, icons and lectio divina.

Lenten suppers

A Lenten study and soup supper will be held for five Wednesdays, starting Feb. 24, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., in Sequim.

At each 6 p.m. supper, a video will follow with discussion led by the Rev. Bill Gordon.

The video series "Whole and Forgiven" features a different episode each week from the Gospels, led by Dr. Walter Wink, professor emeritus of biblical interpretation at Auburn Theological Seminary in New York City.
