Volkswalkers head for Spruce RR trail

Olympic Peninsula Explorers Volkssport Club takes the Spruce Railroad Trail Walk on Saturday, March 27.

Meet at Albertson’s, 114 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, shortly before 9 a.m.

This trail along Lake Crescent’s north shore mostly follows the old railroad grade. There are beautiful views.This is a 12 km (7.46 miles) walk and a 6 km (3.73 miles) option.

Parts of the trail are rocky and sometimes muddy. Wheelchairs are not recommended and pets are not allowed. There are restrooms at sign-in and at the trailhead.
