The Sequim City Council would like to hear public comment regarding proposed rate hikes for the next six years at its next city council meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St.

During a special council study session Monday evening, Ashley Emery, with Peninsula Financial Consulting, laid out a plan to raise the cost of General Facilities Charges and utility rates over several years, using GFCs to offset the rise in utility rates. Citizens are welcome to read through the proposals online at http://sequimwa.gov, under Utility Rates and General Facility Charges for Water and Sewer.
