Democrats schedule annual Roosevelt dinner

The Clallam County Democrats will hold their annual Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt dinner at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Red Lion Hotel in Port Angeles. Local dignitaries and elected officials will greet friends from 5:30-7 p.m. in the lower level lounge followed by dinner in the upstairs ballroom.

Congressman Derek Kilmer will keynote the evening joined by master of ceremonies former State Rep. Lynn Kessler, state Sen. Jim Hargrove, Reps. Kevin Van De Wege and Steve Tharinger.

Reservations at $60 per person are available until today, Aug. 14, and may be made through treasurer Kris Grier, 452-8848, or online at clallamdemocrats.org. Advance dinner selections are required. Local fresh salmon, chicken or a vegetarian plate are available.
