Midsummer ‘magic’ comes to MAC

A touch of midsummer magic is coming to the Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley in June with a fairy wings-making workshop led by artist Renne Brock-Richmond.
The workshop — scheduled from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at the MAC Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim — is open to all ages.
Attendees are asked to bring two pairs of knee-high nylons of any color and a $2 fee per person covers the cost of additional art supplies including glitter glues, ribbons, paints and sequins.
The workshop comes a week before the white color-themed First Friday Art Walk Sequim, set for 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 7.
“The June Art Walk color theme is white and all colors of the spectrum, and, because it is a magical midsummer evening, the wearing of fairy wings and glittery pixie dust is encouraged, too,” said Brock-Richmond, who founded the First Friday Art Walk Sequim. “You never can have too much glitter.”
