About 300-400 young anglers and their parents and friends made their way to the Water Reuse Demonstration pond north of Carrie Blake Park for the annual event put on by the North Olympic Chapter of the Puget Sound Anglers. “It started a little slow (but the) sun came out a little bit and everyone showed up,” said group president Gary Halsey. Local anglers stocked the pond with up to 1,800 rainbow trout of about one pound in weight and another 500-800 trout weighing between three and six pounds. In another week, Halsey said, the group will add another 1,000 fish. “Something they can fish on all summer,” Halsey said.
