Double feature movie, supper at Friends Church
A double film feature exploring DNA and the complex genetic code that was cancelled in February because of snow has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church’s free Supper and a Show, at 1291 N. Barr Road.
The movies are “Unlocking the Mystery of Life,” a computer-animated film released in 2003, and 2018’s “The Extraordinary Design of DNA,” filmed in the U.S. Virgin Islands and showcasing the most current DNA discoveries. The combined run time is less than 90 minutes.
Supper is homemade soups with bread or rolls and home-baked cookies. The movie starts as soon as people are served.

Prayer meeting set at library
A multi-faith prayer gathering hosted by The Baha’i Faith is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Refreshments will be provided. Call 360-582-7101 or 360-417-0105 for more information.
Taize service set
All are welcome to the ecumenical Taize service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 25. In a meditative candlelit atmosphere that includes singing simple, repetitive songs, participants may simply sit peacefully during the hour-long service or join in the chorus “while experiencing the calming effect of being in God’s presence,” event organizers say.
Taize will continue to be held the fourth Monday of each month.
