Cinderella, Elsa, fairies and more made appearances with the Sequim Irrigation Festival royalty on Aug. 1 for Sequim Library’s Princess Storytime.

The annual tradition saw this year’s Queen Emily Silva and Princesses Kjirstin Foresman and Shelby Wells read books to the crowd followed by activities, such as making a crown, building castles from blocks and checking out royalty-related books.

As part of the Summer Reading Program, sponsored by the Friends of Sequim Library, events continue this month with Field Day at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 8, Anime Your Way at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, and Space Quest with Idea Hatch at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Sequim Middle School, 301 W. Hendrickson Road. If inclement weather, Field Day will move to the Middle School. For more information, visit www.nols.org/srp.
