About 60 locals gathered at the four corners of the Washington Street/Sequim Avenue intersection on Jan. 9 in Sequim to show their opposition to any future conflict with Iran.

Group members of Indivisible Sequim, Move On, Win Without War and other local activists joined nationwide protests for “No War with Iran” and to impeach President Donald Trump.

One of the event organizers Alex Fane with Indivisible Sequim said the event was organized in the last two days following recent conflict with Iran after a U.S. air strike killed Iran’s Gen. Qasem Soleimani.

Fane said the situation makes things worse for American soldiers in the Middle East and he and other advocates ask congress to pass a resolution to stop hostilities with Iran.
