The Olympic Peninsula Art Association is once again offering a scholarship to local students.

The scholarship is open to all Clallam County high school seniors. To be considered for a scholarship, a student must submit an art portfolio containing up to a maximum of six original artworks or photos of the artworks.

The artworks can come from one medium or a combination, 2- or 3-D.

Recipients of a scholarship will have their artwork displayed at the annual Membership Art Show held May 1-3 in the Sequim Civic Center council chambers.

Students interested in submitting a portfolio should go to the OPAA website at sequimarts.org for more information on requirements, applications and directions for submitting artwork to be considered for the scholarship.

The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. Saturday, April 4.

The Olympic Peninsula Art Association (OPAA) raises money throughout the year to fund scholarships given to graduating Clallam County High School Seniors in an effort to encourage students to continue their artistic studies in college and beyond.

In 2018 and 2019, OPAA awarded $2,700 in scholarships and merit awards.
