NOLS starts virtual storytime series

As part of the annual Summer Reading Program, the North Olympic Library System is hitting the road — virtually — with a storytime series geared towards toddlers and preschoolers, and the adults in their .
During “Storytime on the Road” sessions, attendees can listen, talk, sing, read, write and play virtually with familiar faces from around Clallam County. The series kicked off on June 19, and new episodes from the series will appear at 10:30 a.m. on Fridays on the NOLS Facebook page, www.facebook.com/NorthOlympicLibrarySystem, through Aug. 14.
The remaining “Storytime on the Road” schedule includes:
• June 26 — Department of Health and Human Services, featuring Jim Weatherly
• July 3 — Explore Nature in Clallam County
• July 10 — Port Angeles Fine Arts Center
• July 17 — B&B Family Lavender Farm
• July 24 — Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department
• July 31 — Port Angeles Police Department
• Aug. 7 — Princess Storytime with Sequim irrigation Festival Royalty
• Aug. 14 — Port Angeles Fire Department
The theme for the 2020 Summer Reading Program is “Imagine Your Story.” The program encourages children to keep reading during the summer break from school, features a reading challenge with fabulous prizes and a multitude of virtual events for all ages.
