Coulter gets ace at Sunland

Cheryl Coulter sank her third lifetime hole-in-one at Sunland Golf & Country Club.

Coulter used an 8-iron to drive the 95-yard hole No. 17.

Clallam County Amateur tourney spots filling fast

The 2020 Clallam County Amateur Championship, open at all amateurs, is scheduled for July 10-12 at three Clallam County golf courses.

The 54-hole medal play tournament starts Friday, July 10, at Port Angeles’ Peninsula Golf Club, with tee times starting at 11 a.m.

Day two is Saturday, July 11, at Sequim’s Sunland Golf & Country Club, with tee times beginning at 9 a.m.

Final-round play opens at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 12, at Cedars at Dungeness in Sequim.

Cost is $125 per player (players must have a valid USGA handicap). The fee includes three rounds of golf, range balls and a Sunday meal.

The tourney features $3,000 in raffle prizes, and $5,000 hole-in-one prizes each day.

Sequim’s Eric Bower’s final round of 3-under-par 69 at Cedars at Dungeness propelled him to a three-shot win in the 2019 Clallam Amateur over Mike DuPuis.
