SEF offering scholarships for high school seniors

The Sequim Education Foundation is offering 2021 Sequim High School graduating seniors a number of scholarship opportunities.
Each scholarship is listed on WashBoard.org and sequimeducationfoundation.org, with a complete description of eligibility and application requirements.
Applications are evaluated by the SEF Scholarship Committee that consists of foundation board members and community members.
All applications must be postmarked and mailed (to SEF, P.O. Box 3065, Sequim, WA 98382) or submitted electronically by March 15 to sequimeducationfoundation@gmail.com.
The foundation’s 2021 scholarship opportunities include:
• James J. Halloran Memorial Scholarship Fund — Two $2,000 scholarships available (non-renewable)
• Jane Q. Miller and Gertrude Greenside Scholarship — Two $2,000 scholarships available; possible renewal for up to three years for total of $8,000
• June Robinson Scholarship in Journalism or History — One $2,500 scholarship available; possible renewal for up to three years for total of $10,000
• Ray and June Robinson STEM Scholarship — One $2,500 scholarship available; possible renewal for up to three years for total of $10,000
• Woodward P. Ward Fund — One $2,000 scholarship available (non-renewable)
About SEF
For the last 20 years the Sequim Education Foundation has been committed to providing local youths with opportunities and experiences that will “stimulate their imaginations and inspire them to reach for their dreams,” SEF representatives said.
In order to fulfill the foundation’s mission “to be a catalyst for vibrant growth of each student in the Sequim School District,” the organization awards teacher grants, academic scholarships, sponsor programs and assist in creating other opportunities for students.
