Respiratory therapy manager Tim Frymyer received the Olympic Medical Center Leadership Award for March at a recent department management meeting.
OMC chief executive officer Darryl Wolfe presented the award and OMC chief medical officer Scott Kennedy shared comments from OMC personnel that describe Frymyer as an excellent manager and co-worker.
“Tim is someone you want working with you when things are challenging in the middle of the night,” Kennedy reported.
Equally notable, Kennedy said, is Frymyer’s promotion of evidence-based practices that ensure his respiratory staff have the tools and resources to prevent COVID-19 infections in the hospital.
Kennedy quoted others, saying Frymyer “fosters teamwork and trust in the department and between departments,” and “even in the most difficult of circumstances, Tim has done a phenomenal job of keeping his department going during this pandemic and providing excellent respiratory therapy care at OMC.”
Pulmonologist Mark Fischer added, “Tim Frymyer is a terrific respiratory therapist and integral OMC healthcare team member. We are lucky to have his leadership, endurance, and respiratory knowledge at OMC.”
Frymyer has been with Olympic Medical Center since January 2013.
