A pair of Sequim School District staffers are making the transition to professional development coordinators.
Casey Lanning will take a full-time professional development role while Rebecca Stanton will take a half-time role with the district for the 2021-2022 school year, school district representatives announced last week.
Lanning most recently worked as a music specialist at Greywolf Elementary School and brings to her new role more than 10 years’ experience in professional leadership and a doctorate in educational leadership with a background in literacy coaching.
Stanton stepped down from position as Helen Haller Elementary School principal, a position she had for the past five years. She also has 10 years of teaching experience.
“These two outstanding leaders will be delivering services to our new and veteran teaching staff,” Sequim School District officials said in a press release last week.
