Sound Community Bank recently donated $7,500 to support the YMCA’s 2021 Annual Impact Campaign that aims to raise funds to “build strong kids and strong families of all ages.”

Donations to the Y’s Campaign help support swim lessons for second graders, meal programs for children, summer camps to give children the best summer ever, membership support (including free memberships for seventh-graders) and childcare for working families, YMCA representatives said in a June 29 press release..

“This year, we want to teach more kids to swim, provide more nutritious meals to children, and give kids a summer they won’t forget,” Olympic Peninsula YMCA CEO Wendy Bart said.

“We want to give families the opportunities they need to build healthy bodies and minds, and provide working families with safe and affordable childcare.”
