RV catches fire south of Sequim

Clallam County Fire District 3 firefighters extinguished a recreational vehicle fire on the 800 block of Youngquist Road early Monday morning.

Battalion Chief Chris Turner said firefighter arrived to the RV about five feet away from a wooden structure just before 8:30 a.m. Oct. 23.

No occupants were inside the RV when it was discovered to be on fire, Turner said.

One resident on the property was treated on scene for smoke inhalation and refused transport to the local hospital, Turner said. Seventeen firefighters responded to extinguish the fire with three fire engines, two water tenders, one Olympic Ambulance ambulance, and an aid car.

This fire is under investigation, Turner said.
