Sequim Valley Lions Club members donate $1,000 to the Sequim Food Bank to help the non-profit with its Family Holiday Meal Bag program.

While continuing their tradition of volunteering at the Sequim Food Bank’s Family Holiday Meal Bag Distribution program, Sequim Valley Lions Club members donated $1,000 to the food bank to help with the Thanksgiving event on Nov. 17.

The group will also give $1,000 towards the food bank for its Christmas program, too, club members said. That program is set for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Carrie Blake Community Park.

The Lions meet at 5:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of each month at Paradise Restaurant, 703 N. Sequim Ave.
