The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is offering monthly LEGO programs where kids can drop in to create, play and build. All materials are provided. LEGOs will remain in the library at the conclusion of each program.
School-age children can get creative with a different theme each month. September’s theme is “Build the Tallest Structure,” October’s theme is “Make Your Favorite Animal,” November’s theme is “Planets Don’t Have to be Round! Create Your Own Planet,” and December’s theme is “Build Something Using Just One Color.”
LEGO programs are offered at the Sequim, Forks, Clallam Bay and Port Angeles libraries. The programs at the Forks and Clallam Bay branch libraries start this month, but the program for the Port Angeles Main Library and the branch library in Sequim won’t kick off until next month.
In Sequim, the LEGO program will be offered at the Sequim Library Temporary Location, 609 W. Washington St., on the first Tuesday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 7.
The programs are funded in part by local Friends of the Library groups. To learn more about youth programs at your library, visit NOLS.org/events, call 360-417-8500 or email youth@nols.org.
