Blue Whole Gallery to ring in new year with Best of Show

The artists at Blue Whole Gallery will celebrate the new year with a presentation of their best work. The gallery windows will display pieces each artist considers to be among their finest.

Janet Piccola, gallery president and pottery artist, is curating the presentation.

“The Best of Show gives each artist an opportunity to present what they like most about their work,” she said. “My job as curator is to find a way to showcase each piece, presenting that piece in its best light.”

Many of the artists will be present during First Friday Art Walk on Jan. 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Blue Whole Gallery is located at 129 W. Washington St. and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. The gallery is closed on Sundays in January.
