Dave and Joyce Thomas celebrate 65 years married

On Dec. 26, 1959, Joyce Visser married Dave Thomas in a Bellingham ceremony.

Joyce grew up in Lynden, while Dave was raised in Bremerton.

The couple moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 1983.

They have two children, Cheryl Chartrand of Indianola, and Michael Thomas of Redmond. They share five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Before retiring, they owned and operated the Peninsula Bible Bookstore in Port Angeles.

The couple plans to celebrate this milestone anniversary with a cruise in Australia and New Zealand in January.
