The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) hosts three Book Discussion Group meetings monthly. Registration is not required. Learn more at NOLS.org/book-groups (or call or visit the library for assistance).
Paperback copies of the titles will be available to pick up following the current month’s discussions on a first-come, first-served basis. Copies in other formats such as large print, audiobook and eBook may also be available to borrow through the NOLS catalog.
Due to the Sequim Library relocation process, the February book pickup and meeting location have been adjusted. Book pickup in February is limited to Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Sequim Library Temporary Location, 609 W. Washington.
March location details will be announced at a later date.
Here is the February book discussion schedule:
Second Wednesday Book Discussion Group: “Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body” by Roxane Gay. This discussion will take place on Zoom at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11.Paperback copies are available at the Port Angeles Main Library and during limited hours at the Sequim Library Temporary Location).
Second Saturday Book Discussion Group: “Parable of the Sower” by Octavia Butler. This group will meet in person at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Paradise Cafe, 703 N. Sequim Ave. in Sequim.
Fourth Wednesday Book Discussion Group: “The Home Place” by J. Drew Lanham. The group will meet in person at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in the Raymond Carver Room at the Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
