WorkSource sets Sequim forum

WorkSource Clallam will host a free Employer of the Day forum in Sequim.

From 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, March 30, at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St., Caregivers Home Health Inc. and Holiday Plaza Sequim Inn will be featured employers answering questions about what they look for in an employee.

WorkSource staff said it’s an opportunity to find out how to make a good impression on employers, with suggestions on interviewing, resumes and applications.

Peninsula College will present information on available short-term trainings.

Leslie Callaway, WorkSource specialist, said the new event is not necessarily for hiring.

WorkSource traditionally holds quarterly events in Port Angeles and is reaching out to employers in Sequim, Forks and Port Townsend for future events.

The next Port Angeles forum tentatively is set for May or June.
