Organic farmer to present ‘Harmonious Farming with Predators’

The Master Gardeners Class Act hosts Jean Ball’s free presentation, “Harmonious Farming with Predators,” at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Sequim’s Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road.  

An organic farmer on the Olympic Peninsula for 10 years, Ball shares tactics and tips for coexisting with natural predators, without using traps or firearms.

She also brings animals from her five-acre farm, where permanent residents include meat sheep, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, honeybees and the stars of the farm, the livestock guardian dogs.
