The Sequim Lavender Growers Association in partnership with its long-time sponsor and supporter, Jacques Dulin of Innovation Law Group, 237 N. Sequim Ave., commissioned Kali Bradford to sand-sculpt the image of a blooming lavender field and the attendant farm truck prepared to take the bountiful harvest to market.

“This public presentation is another way of getting the word out and encouraging people to  celebrate the lavender harvest by visiting our free admission farms and street fair during Sequim Lavender Weekend,” said Mary Jendrucko, executive director of the 19th Sequim Lavender Festival.

“We are fortunate and grateful to have a world renowned sculptor from our rich arts community to create this one-of-a kind piece of art dedicated to our lavender culture and heritage,” added Jendrucko.

Bradford is a Sequim resident, part-time substitute teacher for the Sequim School District, competitor and award winner at various nationwide and worldwide sand sculptor competitions with local works of art recognizing local events stationed year-round throughout downtown Sequim.
