Grand Olympic Chorus enjoys another successful fundraiser

Members of the Grand Olympic Chorus of Sweet Adelines International’s say their annual “We All Sing For Ice Cream” fundraiser on Aug. 27 event was a rousing success, as singers played to a full house at Trinity United Methodist Church

It was a fun filled afternoon full of community spirit, ice cream sundaes or root beer floats, silent auction items and various raffle offerings. In addition to a chorus of voices, the crowd was entertained by the Na Hula ‘O Wahine ‘Illikea Dancers.

Funds raised — at least $2,500 at this year’s event, organizers said — support scholarships for local students for 2018, as well as financial support for many local performances the chorus performs for veteran groups, seniors and local civic events.
