With the holidays right around the corner, the Dungeness River Audubon Center has you covered.

The 11th-annual River Center Holiday Nature Mart is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov 17-18, at the center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road.

The event features various gifts for humans and pets alike, a “sweet and savory” bake sale, a wreath/arrangement-making station, complimentary hot cider, photo opportunities with the center’s wildlife and more.

The holiday mart also features a raffle for a handcrafted bench by Tom Butler of Wren Woodworking. Only 100 tickets for the raffle will be sold, at $20 each; they may be purchased anytime before the drawing at 4 p.m. on Nov. 18.

All proceeds from the sale benefit educational programs in the community as well as a the Center in Railroad Bridge Park on the Dungeness River. Staff, supported by a team of volunteers, continue to provide experiences for children in grades 1-8 in Sequim as well as other schools on the North Olympic Peninsula.

The center provides an Adventure Club for pre-school aged children throughout the year , several summer camps with a variety of topics, talks by local and visiting experts, weekly bird walks, a River Festival at the end of September, BirdFest in April, wildflower walks in the spring, a class to create an illustrated field guide to Railroad Bridge Park combining art and science and field trips for teens and adults.
