McMullin, Barry named All-Academic at WWU
A pair of Sequim natives were among 21 student-athletes from the Western Washington University track & field program to be recognized as Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic Team members, the school announced last week.
Jasmine McMullin, a 2013 Sequim High School graduate and now a senior at WWU, was named to the team for the fourth time in her career — the only four-time selection on the 2017-18 GNAC Women’s All-Academic Team, with a 3.94 undergraduate grade-point-average as an English literature major and a 4.0 GPA in a post-bac elementary teaching certification program.
Alex Barry, a junior at WWU and a 2015 Sequim High graduate, was named to the all-academic team for the second time. Barry maintains a 3.48 grade-point-average with a kinesiology major.
