United Way of Clallam County begins its annual fundraising campaign with several events this September, starting with a night of food and fun set for 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Barhop Brewing & Artisan Pizza, 124 W. Railroad Ave., Port Angeles. Barhop will donate a portion of the night’s proceeds to the campaign, United Way officials said.
United Way will be volunteering on two different days for our annual Day of Caring in honor of the National Day of Service and Remembrance: From 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, United Way volunteers will be at the Dream Playground in Port Angeles, and from 8 a.m.-noon on Monday, Sept. 10, at Carrie Blake Community Park in Sequim. The community is invited to help spread bark, rake, paint and more; snacks and water are provided.
Also, a portion of the proceeds from participating businesses each day of the Forks Restaurant Days, held Sept. 9-22, will go to United Way.
In addition to events, United Way will be presenting updates about the organization’s impact in the community. For more information about United Way of Clallam County, visit www.unitedwayclallam.org or call 360-457-3011.
