The Sequim City Council is seeking a representative to serve on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.

This appointee must be a representative of an activity authorized to be funded by revenue received from lodging tax funds, such as a visitors’ center, tourism bureau, festival or activities that are advertised outside of the area that attracts tourists.

This committee consists of five voting members appointed by the Sequim City Council. One member must be a Sequim City Council member, who serves as Chair. Two members are representatives of businesses required to collect the lodging tax and two members are persons involved in activities authorized to be funded by revenue received from lodging tax funds.

The voluntary board meets on a quarterly basis to perform the duties established by state law.

Submit applications to city clerk Karen Kuznek-Reese no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2.
