TAFY, The Answer For Youth, is having its fourth annual fundraiser from 1-5 p.m. Aug. 17 at Sequim Prairie Grange. TAFY is a local nonprofit, volunteer-based drop-in center for more than 400 of the local youth and young adults that are homeless or at-risk for homelessness. The center feeds from 35-65 clients four days a week.
The group provides showers, laundry, clothes, hygiene, first aid and offers to pay for GED, IDs, some prescriptions and eye glasses. The fundraiser includes an Hapkido demonstration, reverse dunk tank, walk, bike and car show, opportunities for photographs, silent auction of gift certificates, piston toss, and more, plus a barbecue at 3 p.m. for $10. Volunteers are appreciated and donations accepted.
