Adventure Travel Series kicks off Jan. 4

Set your sights on adventure travel this January with the 2019 Adventure Travel Series.

Each Friday in January, local travelers share stories and images from across the United States and around the world.

Presented by the Peninsula Trails Coalition and Olympic Discovery Trail supporters, these presentations are held at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with presentations starting at 7 p.m.

A $5 suggested donation supports the Olympic Discovery Trail.

This year’s schedule includes:

• Jan. 4 — “Mule Riding Adventure to the Painted Caves of Baja, California” by Jan Whitlow

• Jan. 11 — “Ian’s Ride: A Wheelchair Touring Adventure across Washington State” by Ian Mackay

• Jan. 18 — “I Walked 65 Miles, for My 65th Birthday, on the Olympic Discovery Trail” by Nina Pitts

• Jan. 25 — “Mountain Biking the Ho Chi Minh, in Laos, with Rebecca Rusch” by Garth Schmeck
