With a standout effort from junior Kylynn Stringer, Sequim shut out a struggling Bremerton squad last week to improve to 2-1 in league play heading into spring break.

Stringer gave up just three hits through five innings for the win in the Wolves’ 8-0 home win over the Knights.

Freshman LeeAnn Raney tossed two innings in relief, striking out four of the six batters she faced.

Sequim (2-1, 5-2) scored a run in each of the first four innings, then added four more in the sixth.

The Wolves had eight hits by seven different batters while committing just one error on defense.

Looking ahead

Sequim’s Wolves are off for spring break until April 10, when they play at Kingston.

The Wolves host Olympic on April 12 and play a non-league game at Archbishop Murphy on April 13.
