NOLS to host virtual book talks in January

A new year brings about a new round of virtual literary talks from the North Olympic Library System.
NOLS hosts four Book Discussion Group meetings in January. Registration through nols.org/book-discussion-groups is required to receive the Zoom meeting info, but all are welcome to participate.

Copies of the upcoming book selections will be available for pick up any time after the current month’s discussion, during curbside service hours at the Sequim or Port Angeles libraries (see location notations below) on a first-come, first-served basis.
Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD, and eBook may also be available to request for through the NOLS catalog, available at www.nols.org.
The January 2021 Book Discussion Group schedule includes:
• 2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group: “The Sympathizer” by Viet Thanh Nguyen, 3 p.m. Jan. 9; paperback copies available at Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.
• 2nd Tuesday Book Discussion Group: “Brooklyn” by Colm Tóibín, 11 a.m. Jan. 12; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
• Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group: “The Toss of a Lemon” by Padma Viswanathan, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27; paperback copies available at Sequim Library
• Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group: “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles , 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library
